Our trainee outing, which usually takes place annually, is a tradition at VEDDER. Unfortunately, this had to be cancelled for the past two years due to the coronavirus pandemic. But this year it could finally take place again! On 1 June 2022, VEDDER in Lüdinghausen invited the HR management, trainers and all trainees from the company. The upcoming trainees, who will start their training on 1 August 2022, were also cordially invited. This gave them the opportunity to get to know each other and the existing team.
To begin with, everyone headed towards Dülmen to the VEDDER metal workshop, which was newly established at the start of 2022. The group was guided through the metal workshop with great interest. Next, teamwork was the order of the day: in the Haltern climbing forest, the group split into three randomly drawn groups after a refreshment break and took on the „escape game“ challenge. In the fresh air, the teams had to solve various puzzles in order to obtain keys and codes so that they could finally free themselves. Even though everyone did their best, only one team was able to solve all the puzzles in the allotted time and thus escape.
After everyone's heads were smoking, a physical challenge was also needed. That's why we literally went up high. We had a wide variety of climbing courses to choose from - from beginner courses from 3 metres high to expert courses of up to 15 metres. So there was something for everyone and everyone did very well!
The day came to an end together in the neighbouring „Jupp“ beer garden with pulled pork burgers, cool drinks and shared conversations. It was a great end to the afternoon and ensured that the upcoming trainees in particular were already integrated into the team and made friends.
