Trainee excursion 2023 - Lüdinghausen site

As in previous years, it was time again this year for our annual trainee outing!

On 26 June, the trainees and trainers from VEDDER and the trainees who will start their training in August this year made their way to Blackfoot Beach in Cologne. On site, we started with a breakfast together and a short briefing for the day in fantastic weather. The morning was characterised by exciting team training sessions designed to help us get to know each other better. We were also put to the test in terms of our ability to communicate and adapt. The existing trainees were also able to learn more about each other.

After lunch together, the excursion entered its second round. Under the motto „Building, lacing, constructing together and then setting off on a great journey.“ the raft-building challenge began. A total of three groups had to build a buoyant raft using barrels, posts and ropes, which was then put to the test in a race on the water. Some were more successful, others less so... Nevertheless, we all had a lot of fun and found the challenge a successful end to the day on site. Afterwards, we made our way back home. Once we arrived in Lüdinghausen, we immediately fired up the barbecue so that we could round off the day together.

All in all, it was a very exciting and successful day, as the unfamiliar faces are no longer so unfamiliar. We have already formed a great team, which we hope will continue in the future.
